What we've been up to

A few weekends ago we got to see our dear friends from South Africa, Rehgert and Vanessa Van Zyl. They have been speaking at Hume Lake all summer and we got to see them and learn about their ministry abroad. So fun catching up with them. We've also been able to see sweet Carter and give him lots of kisses. We had the Bunker's and soon-to-be Little's over for a fun night of dinner and games. And of course school is back in so I got to see the Contino children on their first day of school and snapped some pictures of them with the fun printables I made from How Does She? On friday night we went to the Greek festival with our amazing friends the Garcia's, and Patricios. It was very warm but we managed to eat lots of delicious food and had so much fun chatting and ended the hot summer night with some ice cream.

Guest room reveal!

So I'm doing my first room reveal, although this room has been "done" (is your house ever done) for a while. I only took two before pictures on my phone of the boringness that was once there. You get the idea though, nothing on the walls, and no fun decor. Well I'm pleased to share my blue and yellow shabby chic room! I have been in love with the Chevron pattern forever, and finally found a room to incorporate it in. I am also doing some linking up with some of my favorite home decor and DIY blogs that I have been reading and getting inspiration from.  This is a first for me but I'm excited for you to get a little glimpse into our home. This is our guest room so I wanted it to be bright and inviting and I have displayed numerous pictures of our dear friends and family on my homemade wall piece. Let me know what you think. we've only had a few slumber parties so maybe I need some suggestions so more guests will stay : )
